Z'trop was a planet located in the Tamarin sector of the Outer Rim Territories.

Description

Z'trop was a tropical world with numerous volcanic islands. The wide beaches and clear waters of these islands made it a popular destination for romantic holidays. Trileaf trees grew on volcanic bluffs on the planet, and seaweed grew in the oceans, fed upon by the vegetarian septapus—seven tentacled creatures with five glowing eyes—which swam the oceans.

History

Firmus Kett's family had a retreat on Z'trop.

Following the kidnapping of Princess Leia Organa by Trioculus in 5 ABY, Han Solo and Chewbacca flew the Millennium Falcon to the planet for a vacation. Accompanying them were Leia Organa, Luke Skywalker, Ken Palpatine and their droids. However, their vacation was cut short when they discovered an unmanned Imperial Compact Assault Vehicle on a bluff overlooking their location. On investigation of some items inside, they realized it was affiliated with Scardia Station and the Prophets of the Dark Side. Fearing discovery, they promptly left the planet to return to the Alliance base on Dagobah.
