[edit] Biography

Sturm was trained from birth as a Jedi, at the Almas Academy and was one of it's promising students. However, she disagreed with Jedi Master Lanius Qel-Bertuk over his policy of letting older people train at the Academy. The first time she was paired with one such "latecomer" Jedi Padawan for a mission, the partner was killed. Sturm was very upset by his death and she vowed to never be teamed with another "latecomer" again, even though she knew that this was not her choice. A few months later, she requested to be allowed to go on a low-threat mission to Tolea Biqua on her own, to gain evidence about a smuggling gang there. However, she was attacked by a street gang, who often dealt with the smugglers. She tried to intimidate them to make them surrender, but she had misjudged what this would do and the gangs swarmed at her, because their leaders did not want to lose face. She was scared by this and reacted with more force than was needed, killing one leader and five other gang members. They had been very-underskilled and under-equipped, which caused her to be consumed by regret and shame and she felt that she was no longer fit to be a Jedi. She decided that she was only fit to be a hunted criminal, so she confronted the leader of the smuggling ring and demanded to be made a full partner. The leader responded by attacking her, so she killed him and took over control of the gang.

Although she had not fully fallen to the Dark side of the Force, she was very close to doing so and for two years she ruled the gang with an iron hand, calling herself the Black Queen. However, she began to take an interest in the Heroes of Cularin when she learned of their involvement in the upcoming Jedi Trials at the Academy. She hoped to capture and humiliate them and so humiliate the Almas Jedi for thinking them of worthy to help out with the trials.[2] She wanted to test the heroes and see what they were capable of, so she download a virus into some battle droids owned by Snem Noonb, so that they would rise up against the heroes.[4] She also had Pindy Streeto, a member of the Rancor Riders gang, manipulate her gang into attacking the heroes. Afterward, as part of their deal, Stum helped Streeto to leave the Cularin system. After the heroes were sent by the Almas Jedi to find her, she posed as Streeto, to try and manipulate them. However, they eventually confronted her and were able to redeem her and persuade her to return to the Academy with them.[2]

She later took Meera Lisso as her apprentice[5] and she was killed by the Dark Jedi Garth Ezzar during the Destruction of the Almas Academy.[1]
