- "Get him!"
- ―A clone trooper chasing Zett Jukassa
Zett Jukassa was a Force-sensitive human male who served as a Padawan of the Jedi Order prior to the rise of the Galactic Empire. He was slain in battle by the clone troopers of the 501st Legion, becoming one of the many Jedi casualties of Order 66.
Born in the waning years of the Galactic Republic, Zett Jukassa was trained at the Jedi Temple of Coruscant and attained the status of Padawan prior to the conclusion of the Clone Wars. In 19 BBY, Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine issued Order 66 to the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic, labeling the entire Jedi Order as traitors to the state. As such, Jukassa and his Jedi brethren were declared enemies of the Republic, forcing them to fight for their lives when Darth Vader and the 501st Legion stormed the Temple with orders to exterminate its inhabitants. Jukassa fought bravely with his lightsaber, killing several clones and wounding Commander Appo before his own death, an event witnessed by Senator Bail Organa of Alderaan.
Personality and traitsEdit
Though a young Jedi-in-training at the time of Order 66, Zett Jukassa heroically fought back against the clone troopers who invaded the Jedi Temple. He was a young human male who, prior to his death, stood at 1.57 meters. He also had light skin, blue eyes, and brown hair. As a symbol of his status within the Order, Jukassa wore a Padawan braid.
Powers and abilitiesEdit
Zett Jukassa was born with a strong connection to the Force and was therefore trained in the ways of the Jedi Order. During the night of Order 66, he used his lightsaber and Force-enhanced abilities to overwhelm a squad of unsuspecting clone troopers. He possessed some skill in blaster fire deflection, parrying several shots before falling to a fatal hit.
Behind the scenesEdit
Jett Lucas, son of George Lucas, portrayed Zett Jukassa in the film Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. The character's name was one of several possibilities, including Titi Jukassa, Tado Jukassa, and Tado. Ultimately a tuckerization of the name Lucas was created: Jukassa, and Jett's name was simply modified to Zett.
Prior to his role as Zett Jukassa, Jett Lucas played Padawan Warpoc Skamini in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, though after the release of Episode III, the two characters were merged into one with a backstory.
