[edit] Biography
In 0 ABY, Zuud was assigned to the Imperial base on Kalist VI.
Charged with the interrogation of Rebel agent Jorin Sol, Lieutenant Zuud did so with enthusiasm and zeal that would plague the Rebellion far more than what an ordinary breaking would have done. Although she was joined in the torture sessions by another Intelligence officer with the rank of captain, he appeared to defer to her judgment.
[edit] Behind the scenes
- Zuud may be named for the character of Zoot in Monty Python and the Holy Grail: if so, Zuud's torture of Jorin Sol can be seen as a bizarre parallel of Zoot's attempts to keep Sir Galahad her prisoner, and the way that Zuud's superior officer questions the slow, drawn-out speed of the Rebel's breaking is an echo of the other Pythons' famous urging of Zoot to "Get on with it!"
