The Kadavo slave processing facility was built on the planet Kadavo by the Zygerrian Slavers Guild. It hovered in one of the larger calderas of a super volcano on the planet.
Description[]
The hub was a tall cylindrical building where a large number of slave were kept while awaiting sale. It was kept aloft above a pool of lava by several powerful repulsorlifts. It was also anchored in place by four cables attached to the sides of the caldera.
History[]
The Hub was commanded by an overweight Zygerrian named Agruss. Zygerrian slavers and B1-Series battle droids, given to the Zygerrians by Count Dooku, provided security.
A Togruta colony that was abducted from the Kiros system was kept at the Hub for a time in preparation to be auctioned off.[3] After an unsuccessful rescue attempt, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Rex were also sent to the processing hub in chains.[4]
Later, Anakin Skywalker led a large group of Republic forces to rescue Obi-Wan and the prisoners.[2] The Jedi were able to save most of the Togruta, despite the Keeper's attempt to kill them all in a final act of spite, and Rex impaled the Keeper with an electrostaff. The experience gave Obi-Wan strong anti-slavery feelings, allowing him to better sympathize with Anakin's past.
Supreme Chancellor Palpatine asked that the Processing Hub be kept intact for future use by the Galactic Republic. Realizing that this structure could really be used for only one thing, Anakin and Obi-Wan agreed to blow up the slaver fortress regardless of the Chancellor's wishes.
