Information brokers were private consultants, smugglers, or slicers that provided information and intelligence for credits. In the Galaxy, they were sometimes referred to as infochants. R2-D2 and Chewbacca attempted to receive information from an information broker on Nar Shaddaa concerning the Darksaber project, Durga the Hutt and Daala's mysterious Imperial Fleet.
